The Valzburg–Esterland high-speed railway has opened. It is 208 km long and designed for 350 km/h.
The line has four stations, eleven tunnels and 34 bridges, with ecological corridors for wildlife.
A planned southern extension to New Harbor will create a north–south rapid passenger corridor.
